Palm Beach County Behavioral Health Coalition (PBCBHC) shall have the right to sell, duplicate, reproduce or use such rights transferred as PBCBHC desires. This agreement is given with free knowledge of the rights transferred to the Palm Beach County Behavioral Health Coalition. This agreement is made without restrictions or time limits without additional compensation besides scholarships and gift cards issued to winners. No entries will be returned.

Create a positive prevention poster (8" wide x 5" high landscape)

Add a CLEAR message promoting an alcohol free or vape free lifestyle for youth.

Use The Power of Choice - Alcohol Free or The Power of Choice Vape Free or another positive message to promote healthy choices.

Use visual art/free hand media like markers, ink, pencils, pastels, watercolor, or crayons, OR Digital art.

The two divisions will be judged separately and winners will be selected from both categories.

*All Palm Beach County School District students must complete and attach Form 1941 to their entry.

$1,000 Scholarship by the Hanley Foundation

Six $100 gift cards (2 for Elementary, 2 for Middle and 2 for High School)

All entries eligible for one $50 gift card in random raffle

Teacher with most entries submitted will receive a $50 gift card

Winners’ posters placed in nearly 1,000 Palm Beach County school busses

Help other students continue to make healthy choices.

Earn two (2) hours of community service for each entry.

All Palm Beach County K-12 students may enter, including those in home school, charter, and private schools.

Do's and Don'ts

Use the theme (The Power of Choice - Alcohol Free or The Power of Choice - Vape Free) OR write a positive, short, catchy vaping or alcohol prevention message targeted at youth.

The design MUST be LANDSCAPE (8 inches wide x 5 inches high)

Leave a small border around your artwork.

Keep the images and messages positive.
-
Include a fact about how vaping or alcohol affects youth.

Cite your fact (note the source of your fact). See Facts provided.

Use original or copyright-free artwork.

Write your message in English, Spanish or Haitian Creole.

For Hanley Foundation Scholarship, artist MUST use one of these facts:

Nine out of ten Palm Beach County middle and high school students are alcohol-free (2022 FYSAS). or

90% of Palm Beach County teens are alcohol-free (2022 FYSAS).

Scary pictures or messages (i.e., car crashes, grim reapers, tombstones, etc.).

Copyright protected material (i.e., Sponge Bob, Batman, etc.).

Copy someone's ideas.
-
Artificial Intelligence (AI) created or assisted art work.

Brand name products, trademarks or logos (i.e., Snickers, Doritos, Coke, etc.).
-
Pictures of vaping products or alcohol in your art work.

Use “Don’t” in your message, instead tell them what to do to stay healthy.
